Inside Friendship: The 35m Benetti Flagship of the Ibiza Fleet

Friendship is a 35-metre Benetti — a classic Mediterranean motor yacht with the proportions and the staff complement of a private hotel afloat. Built originally in 2006 and refit comprehensively in 2019, she is the flagship of our Ibiza charter fleet, the boat we send for full-week itineraries when the brief is a private floor at sea.

The layout

Five guest cabins across two decks: a full-beam master with private study and walk-in dressing room on the main deck; a VIP, two doubles, and one twin below. Six guests live comfortably for a week; with the twin in use, eight works. Beyond that the configuration tightens.

Main-deck salon flows into a covered cockpit; sundeck above hosts shaded dining for twelve, a sun-pad lounge forward, and a hot tub aft. The crew quarters are separate — captain, chef, chief stew, plus a deckhand and two engineers. Six full-time crew on a charter week.

Range and pace

Friendship cruises at 14 knots, with range for full Balearic loops without refuelling — a typical week covers Ibiza, Formentera, and the Mallorca cliffs with fuel in hand. Fuel burn at cruise is 700 l/h, billed through the APA at cost.

The week she is built for

Friendship is not a day boat. The economics, the crew deployment, the layout — all point to multi-day. The right brief is six to seven nights for six to ten guests who want one base, one chef, one captain, and a week that doesn't require re-explaining anything to anyone.
