What to Pack for a Yacht Charter in Ibiza — The Office's Working List

Direct answer
Pack soft-sided luggage only — rigid suitcases don't store on yachts. Bring 2x the swimwear, half the shoes you'd normally pack. Layer for cool evenings. Sun cream you trust (reef-safe). Towels and beach equipment are provided. For day charters: one outfit change + swimwear + sun gear. For weekly: as much swimwear as you can, casual dressed-up for ashore dinners, one set for marina arrivals.
Yachts have small spaces and small wardrobes. Soft luggage stores; rigid suitcases don't. The office sends every multi-day guest a brief packing note in the welcome email; this is the public version.
The non-negotiables
- Soft-sided luggage only — duffels, foldable bags, sport holdalls
- Soft-soled shoes — no black-soled shoes on teak decks
- Swimwear (two or three for a day charter, four to six for a week)
- Sun cream — SPF 50, reef-safe, in a brand you trust
- Sunglasses — bring a backup; sea wind takes them
- Wide-brimmed hat — the swim platform is fully exposed
- A light layer for the cruise back at sundown (cashmere or linen)
What we provide on board
- Beach towels at every cabin and on the aft deck
- Sun cream (reef-safe brand, but bring yours if you have a preference)
- After-sun lotion
- Toiletries (Aesop or similar on most superyachts)
- Hair dryers in every cabin
- Slippers / flip-flops at the gangway
- Robes (on multi-day charters)
For weekly charters specifically
- 2–3 dinner outfits — smart casual, never black-tie unless the brief specifies
- One outfit each for ashore lunches at Blue Marlin / Juan y Andrea
- Linen and cotton dominate — synthetics don't breathe in 28°C heat
- One pair of proper shoes for an ashore dinner in Ibiza Town
- Workout clothes if you use the gym or the yoga deck
For day charters specifically
- One change for after the swim — linen shirt, light shorts or dress
- Sunglasses (yours, with case)
- Sun cream you already trust
- Cash or a card for any ashore stop you choose
What to leave at home
- Rigid suitcases — they don't fit the cabin closet
- Black-soled shoes — they mark the teak; the crew will ask you to remove them
- Hairspray in glass bottles — break risk
- Loud speakers — every yacht has its own sound system

Frequently asked
- Do I need formal evening wear on a yacht charter?
- Not unless the brief specifies. Aurelius charters are smart-casual — linen shirt, light dress, soft-soled shoes. Black tie only for specific events (the Bal de la Rose if you're on a Côte d'Azur leg).
- Are towels provided or do I bring my own?
- Always provided — beach towels at every cabin and on the aft deck, plus a fresh set during the day if needed. You don't need to bring towels.
- Can I bring my own sun cream brand?
- Yes — and most regulars do. The boat provisions a reef-safe SPF 50 default; if you have a brand preference (La Roche-Posay, Heliocare, Avène), bring it and tell us in advance for re-stocking.
