Cala Bassa
Wide pine-fringed bay, white sand, transparent water — the most family-friendly anchorage on the west coast.
ala Bassa is the wide, sheltered bay on the west coast of Ibiza that families return to year after year. Pine trees come down to the shore, the sand is white and gradual, and the water is calm enough through most of the season that it suits children of any age. The CBbC beach club takes care of the ashore side; the yacht stays in the bay.
The right anchorage is at the south end of the cove where the holding is best, with the boat lying east-west to the prevailing breeze. Day-boats fill in the late morning; the bay is busiest 12:00–16:00. We arrive at 11:30 to take the best position and stay until the late afternoon when the wind eases and the light turns.

Questions we hear
Cala Bassa — answered.
Can we book a table at CBbC through Aurelius?+
Yes — the office holds standing-relationship reservations at CBbC and Cala Comte Beach Club for the season. Tell us the date and party size and we secure the table that suits.
Is Cala Bassa good for children?+
Yes — it's our most-suggested family anchorage. The water is calm and shallows gradually, the bay is sheltered from the prevailing wind, and there's pine shade if anyone wants to step ashore. The CBbC has a children's menu and high chairs.
Does it get crowded?+
From 12:00 to 16:00 in July and August, yes — it's the busiest anchorage on the west coast in peak season. We recommend arriving at 11:00 or staying past 17:00 when the day-charters return to Marina Ibiza.
