A Family Reunion

Three generations on board, two cabins assigned per couple, no one in the middle bunk.

A family reunion is a logistical exercise in pacing three generations. A yacht run well is the easiest format we know for this — meals happen at the same table, the swim platform keeps the children occupied, the bimini-shaded aft deck looks after the grandparents, and no one has to drive home at the end.

The shape we suggest: a long lunch (15:00) rather than a short one, a single ashore meal per day, the chef serving on board for the rest. Grandparents get the master suite or the most stable cabin; the children share the bow cabin or the convertible TV room.

The office handles

Quietly,
in the background.

  • 01A shaded seating area on the aft deck — bimini extended, pillows arranged for elders
  • 02Cabin assignments confirmed in writing two weeks ahead (no surprises at embarkation)
  • 03A short transfer from the marina pontoon — we walk a guest with limited mobility on board with two crew either side
  • 04Lunch with real cutlery, real glassware, a vegetable course
  • 05A swim platform rigged like a pool deck — foam mat, snorkels, paddle board, watchful bosun
  • 06A return before dark, the seating positioned out of the wind for the elders

Questions we hear

Most-asked.

Can we accommodate mobility limitations?+

Yes. We brief the marina to position the boat closest to the pontoon, and the bosun and a stewardess walk every elder guest on board. For wheelchair users we recommend our yachts with a stern beach platform that lowers to dock level.

What if the children want a different schedule from the adults?+

We split the day. Adults take a long lunch at the table; children get a kids' menu on the bow and the swim platform rigged with a slide. The bosun supervises while parents and grandparents have their hour.
