New Year's Eve at Sea

A chef-served dinner at anchor, the fireworks of three towns visible from the bow, midnight champagne.

New Year's Eve in Ibiza is, for most years, mild — 15–17°C, the marinas quiet, the restaurants priced for tourists. A yacht charter on December 31st is the office's quiet recommendation: a chef-served dinner at anchor in the bay of Talamanca, the fireworks of Ibiza Town, Santa Eulària and Marina Botafoc visible from the bow at midnight, champagne, twelve grapes, and a slow cruise back via the Old Town lights.

Most NYE charters we run are six to ten guests, six hours total, with a 19:00 embarkation and a 02:00 return. The boat stays at anchor through midnight; the engines are off; the only sound is the bay and the fireworks.

Questions we hear

Most-asked.

Is the weather usually warm enough?+

Ibiza in late December averages 13–17°C and is usually dry. We bring blankets and wind shells, and the boat has a sheltered salon if the wind picks up. Most NYE charters spend the evening half outside, half inside.

How early do we need to book NYE?+

By early November for the best yachts. We hold preferential allocations for returning clients through the summer; if you've chartered with us before, write in July.
