Ibiza Villa Driver Service: When You Need One, What It Costs

Ibiza in August has 280,000 people on an island built for 80,000. Roads narrow. Parking outside Ibiza Town runs out by 19:00. The default question — "rent a car or hire a driver?" — has a different answer for week-long villa stays than for short hotel breaks.

When self-drive works

For a 4 – 5 night stay, two adults, a single villa with short trips to Cala Bassa and one dinner in Sant Antoni — a rental car is fine. The villa parking handles it; you go nowhere busy after 19:00.

When a driver pays back

• Family group with kids (5+ guests; one Cayenne or Sprinter beats two cars)
• Late-night ashore (Hï, Pacha, Lío — parking is triple-parked and a driver waits)
• Wedding or event week (multiple destinations per day, multiple cars in a fleet, no one driving after wine pairings)
• Anyone unfamiliar with Ibiza Town one-way streets (which is most people)

Cost in 2026

• Day rate (8 hours): €380 – €580 for a Cayenne or E-Class; €450 – €700 for a V-Class.
• Weekly rate (7 days, 8h/day): €2,400 – €3,400 for a single driver, vehicle included.
• Overtime:after 8 hours, €60 – €80/hour. After-midnight transfers add 50 % surcharge.
• Fuel:usually included in the day rate up to 80 km. Long off-island days (Mallorca by ferry, Formentera-by-car) are quoted separately.

Vehicle options

• Mercedes V-Class — 6 – 7 passengers + bags. Best all-rounder for families and groups.
• Porsche Cayenne / BMW X7 — 4 – 5 passengers, more sport feel.
• Mercedes E-Class — 2 – 3 passengers, classic executive feel.
• Mercedes Sprinter — 8 – 14 passengers. Use for airport runs only — too big for Ibiza Town.

What to ask the driver brief

Ahead of arrival the office matches the driver to your group: English fluent? Discreet (we work with a shortlist of drivers used to family-office security clients)? Familiar with the specific clubs you'll visit (Lío, Hï, Pacha each have separate VIP entrances)?

Tipping

Standard end-of-week, 5 – 10 % of the driver fee. Cash, to the driver directly. The driver does not split with anyone — the gratuity stays with them.
